Yesterday, August 27, 2009, my dad would have celebrated his 69th birthday and my mom and dad would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. We miss you grandpa....

Wow! I didn't realize your parents had been married so long. Days like your dad's birthday are hard, I remember, but they do get easier and it's nice to have a specific reason to be thinking of them that day. I hope the day went okay for you. I bet he had a great birthday and I know he knew you were thinking of him.
