4th of July BBQ

When we take the kids to visit Grandma and Grandpa Speakman, they always know they will be roasting hot dogs and smores over a fire. Grandpa was teaching the girls how to chop kindling with an axe and how to start a good fire. Jared and I got a little nervous watching the girls using an axe...even if it was dull.

The HAST swim meet

We took Kelsee up to American Fork to the annual HAST swim meet. It was a 3 day meet with morning and afternoon sessions. Luckily for us, the weather was cooler than normal so we didn't get too hot. One evening, we all had to go into the facility because a large thunderstorm rolled through. It rained extremely hard and the wind blew like crazy. After it finished, we went out to find everything we had not carried in with us soaked including our camera. The case protected it thank goodness.

The backstroke...her not so favorite event.
Breast stroke...her favorite event. She was able to shave 4 seconds off of her best time. She did a great job!

Seven Peaks

We came up to Provo for the HAST swim meet for Kelsee. We took the kids last year to Seven Peaks and they begged us to take them again. We invited our friends to come with us and the kids had a blast. Their favorite thing to do...the boomerang and the vortex. Jared, Bailey, myself and my friend Jeanine enjoyed the lazy river and the wave pool.
