Over Labor Day we went to Zions National Park. We hiked up to Weeping Rock and then over to Hidden Canyon. Jeanine, Amelia, Megan and Porter Draney came with us. The kids had a blast. We didn't do a lot of research on the Hidden Canyon hike and were surprised to see a warning sign with an image of a person falling off a cliff. The sign read "Warning..parts of this hike are strenuous, proceed with caution." Kelsee asked what strenuous meant and I replied, "Fun!" Then all the kids started asking what it meant because my answer didn't match the picture very well. It was a steep climb and parts of the trail were steep drop offs with a small trail along the cliff edge. Chains were provided to hold around those areas. We were all hot at the end but enjoyed getting back down and having a picnic and getting ice cream.
